TRIP To Work News Update From RTD: RTD Bus Delays For March 29 on Cesar Chavez Day Parade

Denver – The Regional Transportation District (RTD) will experience temporary delays on some of its bus routes during the annual Cesar Chavez Day Parade on Saturday, March 29. The parade will begin at 10:30 a.m. at St, Cajetan’s Center at Auraria Campus, proceed right on to Speer Boulevard, then right on 11th Avenue, then left on Galapago Street where the parade will conclude at 910 Galapage Street (The Denver Inner City Parish).

RTD will experience minor delays on the following bus routes starting about 10:30 am:

-          Route 1, 7, 9, 16, 30, 31, 48

The buses on these routes will continue running during the parade, but will be temporarily delayed as a rolling detour will close the road long enough for the parade to proceed. There will be no bus detours.  Riders can expect to add a few minutes to their travel time because of the delays.

For route and schedule information, please call RTD’s Telephone Information Center at 303.299.6000.  Call 303.299.6089 for the speech and hearing impaired.  Visit RTD’s website at www.RTD-Denver.com.

TRIP To Work "Train Yourself" Video

We recently received an e-mail from a new TRIP To Work light rail rider that said in part: "I rode the Light Rail this morning. In my 36 years of working I've never ridden a bus or rail to work. It was  a positive adventure." If you have never ridden light rail before, watch the "Train Yourself" video we produced in partnership with RTD. If you need to take your bike on an RTD bus or light rail, you will need to take a short online test and print out a bike permit. You can find more information on the RTD site.

Then go to TRIP To Work to buy your monthly pass.
